My laboratory conducts research in the following areas: (1) Drug Design (Medicinal Chemistry) including anti-inflammatory (PDE4 inhibitors), anti-microbial and anti-cancer drugs; (2) Targeted Drug Delivery including receptor mediated and biomarker mediated drug delivery; (3) Molecular Recognition and New Diagnostics including new fluorescent imaging and chemosensors, imaging mass spectrometry, lectin mimics for carbohydrate biomarker recognition; (4) New Organic Reactions including photo-affinity labeling chemistry, link chemistry and new methods for DNA modification.
